SPECIFIC RECRUITMENT:

The following is a list of specific jobs we are currently recruiting for. Most of them require a degree level or professional qualification plus two years experience:

Planning Engineer - Rural Roads
Lesotho (L8)
- Qualified civil engineer preferably with experience of designing projecs for drainage structures and preparing maintenance programmes, report writing and internal EIA and health and safety assessments.

Quality Control and Material Engineer - Rural Roads
Lesotho (L9)
- To manage the primary function to ensure that all works carried out on the Rural Roads projects are to the Ministry of Works national standards.

General Practioner/Doctor - Mozambique (Rural Hospitals) (M7/8) - We are looking for a qualified GP/Doctor who has at least two years experience to provide an all-round service including in-patient/out-patient consultations and accident and emergency, in Angoche, northern Mozambique.

English Teacher, Angoche (2 positions) - Mozambique (M9/10) - for teaching English in a secondary school to assist students through new instructional methods and to widen their general knowledge by contributing to their scientific and technical knowledge.

Architect/Physical Planner,Inhambane, Mozambique (M13) - to advise on the planning process and assist in the implementation of planning for the national space. Train technicians to help them achieve formal qualifications.

English Teacher Trainer, Mozambique (M5) To teach English and provide the academic skills necessary for the students to express and perform well in situations involving knowledge of English related to their fields of study.

Eco-tourism Officer, Kasane
Botswana
- to assist Chobe district community in promoting effective use of natural resources for tourism with minimal environmental impact, while contributing to sustainable rural development and encouraging conservation.

Rural Electrification Planning Officer
Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy, Swaziland (S7)
- To develop rural electrification planning tools and systems and to assist in the implementation of the rural electrification policy. Degree (Masters desirable), experience in project planning (infrastructure), computer aided drawing, spreadsheet and database manipulation required.

Community Outreach Officer, Mlawula Nature Reserve
Swaziland
- To work with communities surrounding Mlawula Nature Reserve so as to maintain positive relations between Mlawula and its neighbours; to transfer a conservation ethic to the communities; and to facilitate community development projects.

Lecturer in Computer Science (Trainer of Trainers)
Swaziland (S4)
- To train young adults to be teachers of technical subjects including computer studies as a technical subject for schools. To review the current curriculum and to develop training materials.

GENERAL RECRUITMENT:

Under our general recruitment programme applicants may be selected against general criteria in a skill area. Following a selection day, successful candidates are matched against specific posts, where possible.

We are looking for a minimum of qualifications to HND level with at least one year's post-qualification experience. Requests are more usually for higher level qualifications with at least two year's experience, preferably including some training of others.

If there is no post available at the moment, but it is felt that there may be one within the next year, we may be able to place your application on our register until then.
