Chair of the Board
Wendy Tabuteau
Wendy joined the Board in 1997. She was a development worker at Omang Youth Business Centre
in Botswana in 1992-1994, and a member of
our Botwsana Programme Advisory Committee in 1993-1994.
From 1997 to 2007, Wendy worked for RedR, most recently as Head of External Relations. In January 2007 she became Director of ThePromise, an NGO working with disabled children in Russia.

Vice-Chair of the Board
Kumba Jallow
Kumba joined the Board in 2004. She has experience
of sustainability issues and her management skills
include accountancy, strategy, personnel and organisational
ability. She is currently a Principal Lecturer in
Accounting and Finance at De Monfort University in
Leicester. |
Chair of the Finance sub-committee
Andy Wynne
Andy joined the Board in 2004. His background is
in public sector financial management, and spent
over 3 years in Sudan as a teacher. Andy is a public
sector financial management advisor and an active
member of his trade union.

Chair of the Human Resources & Organisational Development sub-committee
Gill Taylor
Gill joined the Board in 2006. She is currently a self-employed human resources specialist working with charities. She developed her interest in international development through a masters degree in 1982 and work with returned volunteers and development education at Returned Volunteer Action (RVA), 1982-1985.

John Hoffman
John joined the Board in March 1999. Born and
educated in Zimbabwe, he has considerable experience
of work with movements for democracy in Zimbabwe
and South Africa, and supporting organisations in
the UK. John Hoffman is an Emeritus Professor of
Political Theory, having retired from the University
of Leicester at the end of September, 2005.

Sarah Nancollas
Sarah joined the Board in 2004, bringing experience
of strategic and operational management, including
working with international health, education and
transport charities. She is currently the Chief
Executive of the Canon Collins Educational Trust
for Southern Africa (CCETSA).

Roger Blake
Roger joined Skillshare's predecessor IVS in 1968.
He spent 1974-81 in Botswana as a UN Volunteer, an
IVS development worker in Gaberone's squatter area
and IVS Volunteer Co-ordinator. Back in the UK he
joined the IVS National Committee. Roger is currently
Hackney London Borough Council's Principal Transportation

Nita Odedra
Nita joined the Board in 2004, bringing with her
a wealth of experience in the health sector, including
2 years working as an Optometrist in Belize on a
volunteer placement with VSO.

Fred Mear
Fred joined the Board in 1993. He is Principal Lecturer
in Accounting & Finance at Leicester Business
School, De Montfort University.

Joan McGarry
Joan
joined the Skillshare International Ireland Board in 2005 and was nominated to the Skillshare International Board of Trustees in 2008. In 2004-2005 she was a development worker at the ACTION for Conflict Transformation Support Centre in South Africa. She currently works at Pobal, a not-for-profit organisation in Dublin that seeks to promote social inclusion, reconciliation and equality through integrated socal and economic development within communities. |
Goodbyes
Skillshare International would like to thank Diana Tottle for her contribution to the organisation's governance and development as a member of the Board from 2004 to 2007.
Diana was Chair of the Human Resources and Organisational Development sub-Committee and brought with her to the Board experience in strategy development, fundraising, programme development
and volunteer support.
