Share Your Skills

Rosemary Conley and Leicester actor Rohit Gokani helped Skillshare International raise over £1,400 urgently needed for international development projects during the Share Your Skills campaign in October 2007.

An auction at Revolution Bar in Leicester raised more than £800, with prizes donated by many local businesses. Around 30 people were entertained by local musicians including upcoming band Just Norris and kora-player Alpha Jallow. Film and television actor Rohit Gokani acted as auctioneer.

Volunteer Emma Zvesper organised the event and recalls, "it was nerve racking when we realised that the event was going to clash with the Rugby World Cup Final, but in the end everyone pulled together and I am delighted with how much we have raised for the cause."
