What's Cooking?

Thank you to everyone who got involved in What's Cooking? and made it such a success!

Between November 2009 and February 2010, more than 50 supporters, staff and trustees raised over £1,000 towards our work by hosting dinner parties and making donations. They cooked a wide variety of meals from all over the world including Mozambique, Ghana & Indonesia.

Supporters Officer Katie Elam says "It was a fun opportunity to raise vital funds, raise awareness of the great work we are doing and to take action that will make a difference. I would like to say a big thank you to all those who took part - everyone loves a dinner party!"

Share Your Skills

Share Your Skills is an on-going initiative, which offers a unique opportunity for supporters, development workers, staff and trustees to find different ways of contributing towards Skillshare's work by sharing their skills and learning new ones. In recent years, Share Your Skills activities have included a range of events from bike maintainence lessons to keep fit classes run by Rosemary Conley. If you have a skill you can share, such as playing a musical instrument or speaking a foreign language, you could give your friends some music or language classes in return for a small donation to Skillshare.

What's Cooking? will be held again later in 2010 and we look forward to even more people joining us this year. For more information about taking part in Share Your Skills and What's Cooking? please contact Katie at katie.elam@skillshare.org
