Skillshare International

International Citizen Service (ICS) is a global volunteering experience which supports young people from all backgrounds to make a real difference to the world we live in.

ICS has been designed to increase volunteers' understanding and experience of the world, and to help them learn how they can help the world’s poorest people as a global citizen.

Skillshare International's ICS volunteers spend three months working with some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities on projects designed to bring about lasting change. 

The training and placements help volunteers to develop important skills such as team-working, communication and decision-making.  

ICS is funded by the Department for International Development (DFID) and gives thousands of volunteers aged 18–22 the chance to join the fight against global poverty.
